inkwinks

I love to draw. I use pencil, pen, watercolour, aquarelles, gouache, charcoal, and ink on paper.

  • I mainly work in illustration, comics, and animation and, for the most part, my work is character based and playful.
  • Squiggly lines, or simple lines that capture character and expression.
  • (Not always cartoony… sometimes E. Gorey-esque – but not intentionally.)
  • For some projects I composit my drawings in PhotoShop (and sometimes animationy bits and bobs in After Effects).

My background is in fine arts, largely etchings, artist books, paintings, and also music and comics.

Publications: ACT and Melbourne comics anthologies plus illustration for two books by Mark MacLeod, ABC Books/ Harper Collins.
Animation: Hand drawn animated film clip for Machine Translations (about 6 reams of A4 paper) and a television commercial – hand drawn using a digital tablet.
